Christmas Village Coloring Page

This snowy village sits on a hillside with five small houses, a church with a steeple, a winding road and trees. Smoke curls from several chimneys, and snow sits on the roofs. There are many small windows and roof lines to color, so the page suits ages eight and up and can take a while to finish.

Coloring ideas

• Give each house a different wall color and keep the roofs white with a pale blue shadow.
• Color the windows warm yellow so the village looks lit from inside.
• Use gray for the chimney smoke and dark green for the trees.
• Pick a dusk sky in purple or deep blue and leave the snow white.

Quick learning activity

Look at the village together and ask your child to find something that is near and something that is far away. Objects lower on the page and larger look closer. This is a simple way to talk about how artists show distance in a drawing.
