Christmas Star Coloring Page

A large five-pointed star glows above two pine trees, with a curved tail streaming behind it like a comet. The star is one big, open shape, which makes it an easy page for young children to fill in. It suits ages three to six and prints on US Letter or A4 paper.

Coloring ideas

• Color the star yellow or gold and leave the tail a lighter shade.
• Use two greens for the pine trees so each branch stands out.
• Fill the sky around the star with dark blue, leaving the star untouched.
• Add small dots for far-away stars with a white or yellow crayon.

Quick learning activity

Stars appear in many Christmas stories and songs. Ask your child to count the points on the star and the trees in the picture, then to say what shape they see (a star has five points, a tree looks like a triangle). It is easy practice with counting and shapes.
