Two big jingle bells hang side by side, tied with a ribbon and topped with a pair of holly leaves. The bells are simple dome shapes with thick outlines, so young children can color them without much trouble. The page is a good fit for ages three to six, and it prints on US Letter or A4 paper.

Coloring ideas

  • Color the bells gold and yellow, or try silver and light gray for a metal look.
  • Use red for the ribbon and dark green for the holly leaves.
  • Add a few small dots to the berries in red.
  • Draw a few music notes around the bells and color them in.

Quick learning activity

Bells make a sound when they move. Ask your child to shake a real bell, or just their hands, and describe the sound: loud, soft, high or low. Then ask what other sounds belong to Christmas, such as carols, wrapping paper and footsteps in the snow.
