For parents & teachers
This T-Rex coloring page shows a big, powerful dinosaur mid-roar. Its mouth is wide open, revealing rows of sharp teeth, and its body is balanced on two sturdy legs with a long tail stretching out behind it. The small arms and textured skin lines give it a classic, cartoon-friendly look that is easy for kids to color but detailed enough to keep them busy for a while.
Coloring ideas
- Try a classic green body with a lighter belly and dark green stripes along the back.
- Use warm browns and oranges to make the T-Rex look like it is walking through a dusty, prehistoric landscape.
- Color the inside of the mouth a deep red and the teeth bright white for a bold contrast.
- Add a simple background with ferns, rocks, or a volcano to complete the scene.
Dinosaur fact
Tyrannosaurus rex lived about 68 to 66 million years ago in what is now North America. It was one of the largest land predators of its time, with a bite force strong enough to crush bone. Ask your child to count the teeth in the drawing and compare them to the 60 teeth a real T-Rex had in its jaws.
