About these coloring pages

These food coloring pages show everyday meals and the places they come from: a breakfast plate, a picnic basket, a burger with fries, a packed lunchbox, a snack table and a kitchen scene. Each food is drawn as a plain, recognizable shape with no packaging, labels or brand logos, so kids decide what color everything is.

Food pages work well for talking about what people eat. A healthy-plate page, for example, can start a conversation about fruit, vegetables, grains and protein, and kids can color each section of the plate a different color. A picnic page is a good way to practice naming foods and sorting them into groups, such as things that grow on plants and things that are baked.

Simple pages with large shapes suit ages 3 to 6, who can work with crayons and chunky markers. Scenes with many small items, such as the snack table and the kitchen, are better for ages 7 and up, and for anyone who likes using colored pencils for details. For something more specific, see the fruit, pizza, donut and cupcake pages.

Every page prints on US Letter or A4 paper and is free for home and classroom use.
