About these coloring pages

These T. rex coloring pages show Tyrannosaurus rex in a handful of different ways: roaring in side view on a rocky hill, hatching from an egg as a small baby, smiling among flowers in a simple cartoon style, running through a swamp, standing under a smoking volcano and posed as a museum skeleton. There is also a detailed head portrait with textured skin for older kids, and a trail of footprints for the youngest.

A real T. rex lived about 68 to 66 million years ago in western North America. It walked on two legs, balanced its heavy head with a long tail held off the ground, and had two-fingered arms that were short but strong. Adult skulls were more than a meter long. Those details are worth noticing while coloring, and they make good talking points for a dinosaur unit, a museum trip or a birthday party.

Pick the cartoon and baby pages for ages 3 to 6, the scenes for ages 6 to 10, and the skeleton and portrait for ages 8 and up. Every page prints on US Letter or A4 paper and is free for home and classroom use.
