Ice Cream Truck Coloring Page

This small van has a wide serving window on the side with two ice cream cones painted below it. A large cone is fixed to the roof, which helps people find the van from a distance. The van has a rounded front and two wheels showing.

Ideas for coloring

• Use pastel pink, mint and cream for the van to match ice cream flavours.
• Colour the cone on the roof in warm brown with a scoop on top.
• Fill the window with a striped awning colour.
• Draw a sunny sky or a park behind the van.

A short history of the ice cream van

Vans selling ice cream have driven through streets since the early twentieth century. Many play a short tune so people know they are close. Inside, a freezer keeps the ice cream cold while a small counter holds cones, wafers and toppings.
