The cargo box on this truck is tall and wide, with nothing on its side, so there is a lot of space to fill. A small cab with one window sits at the front. A few cardboard parcels are stacked on the roof of the box.
Ideas for coloring
- Colour the cargo box white or blue and add your own shapes on the side.
- Use brown for the parcels and draw tape lines on them.
- Colour the cab a different shade from the box.
- Add a house or a street at the end of the road.
How parcels travel
A box truck can hold hundreds of parcels at once. Drivers load them in the order they will be delivered, so the last stop is loaded first. Boxes this size are common in towns because they fit under bridges and turn easily. Colouring the empty side is a good chance to design your own delivery company stripe, using only shapes and colours.
