Fairy Garden Village Coloring Page

This is the busiest fairy page in the set. A ring of small cottages with tiled roofs and chimneys surrounds a pond, and a stone bridge crosses the water. Three fairies appear in the scene: one in the centre, one at the left by the lily pads and one on the right near a doorway. Leaves and flowers crowd the edges.

The lines are fine and the areas are small, so it suits older children, teens and adults who enjoy detailed work. Sharp pencils or fine pens will help.

Ideas for coloring

• Pick a limited palette, such as three greens, two browns and one accent colour, so the scene stays readable.
• Give each cottage a different roof colour to help the eye separate them.
• Colour the pond in blues and greens and leave a few white highlights on the water.
• Make the three fairies stand out with brighter dresses than the buildings around them.

About lily pads

A lily pad is the floating leaf of a water lily. It has a slit from the edge to the centre and a waxy upper surface that sheds water. Long stems run down to roots in the mud, and the flowers open on the surface. Frogs, dragonflies and many insects rest on the pads.
