Helicopter Coloring Pages

These helicopter coloring pages show how helicopters are used: flying over a city skyline, lowering a rope to a hiker on a mountain, landing on a hospital rooftop as an air ambulance, hovering over a highway with a camera, carrying a bucket of water over a forest fire and lifting a crate with two rotors. There is also a plain toddler helicopter with a big bubble window, a sunset landing on a helipad and a Christmas helicopter delivering presents.

The simple helicopter suits ages 2 to 5, and the city flight suits ages 3 to 7. Rooftop landings, news helicopters and sunset scenes sit in the middle for ages 5 to 10. The rescue, firefighting and cargo pages have more detail and suit ages 6 to 11. None of the helicopters has lettering, numbers or logos, so kids can add their own markings.

Helicopters are good for community-helper units. A helicopter can hover and land in a small space because its rotor blades spin overhead and lift it straight up, which is why it can reach hikers on mountains and hospital roofs where planes cannot. Ask kids who might need a helicopter and why a pilot might choose one. Pages print on US Letter or A4 paper and are free for home and classroom use.
