Two hockey sticks cross in the middle of the page, with a round puck on the lower right and a padded glove beside it. There are no people and very little small detail, which makes this a quick page for a short colouring session or for the youngest children who want a simple object to fill in.

Ideas for coloring

  • Colour each stick a different shade so the crossing point is easy to see.
  • Make the puck black or dark grey and leave a thin white edge for shine.
  • Use two colours on the glove, one for the cuff and one for the fingers.
  • Add tape bands on the blades in a bright colour.

Good to know

A hockey puck is a flat disc of vulcanised rubber, about an inch thick and three inches wide. It is often frozen before a game so it slides instead of bouncing. The curved end of a stick is called the blade, and it can be curved a little to help a player lift the puck.
