A tall bucket with vertical stripes holds a big heap of popcorn with bumpy, rounded tops. A wedge of cheese rests at the bottom right, with a flat side and a thick rind. Large areas and few small details make this page easy for beginners.
Ideas for coloring
- Alternate red and white stripes on the bucket, or choose blue and yellow.
- Popcorn in pale yellow with a few cream and light brown patches where it has toasted.
- Cheese in deep yellow or orange, with a darker colour along the rind.
- Draw small holes in the cheese if you want it to look like Swiss cheese.
- Scatter a few extra kernels on the ground around the bucket.
Good to know
Popcorn is made from a special kind of corn. Each hard kernel holds a little water, and when it is heated the water turns to steam and the kernel bursts open. Cheese is made from milk, and different cheeses have different colours, from white to deep orange. Ask your child which snack they would pick for a film night.
