Fruit Bowl Coloring Page

A wide bowl with a thick rim holds a bunch of bananas that curve over the top, and three strawberries tucked in at the front. The strawberries have small seeds drawn on their skin and leafy caps at the top.

Ideas for coloring

• Bananas in yellow, with brown tips and a few light green patches for fruit that is still ripening.
• Strawberries in red with yellow or white seeds and green leaves.
• A bowl in any colour you like, perhaps a blue and white pattern.
• Put a table colour or a patterned cloth under the bowl.

Good to know

Strawberries are unusual because their seeds grow on the outside of the fruit. Bananas grow in bunches called hands, and each single banana is called a finger. Both change colour as they ripen, which makes them good fruits for talking about how food changes over time. Ask your child which fruit in the bowl they would eat first.
