Ideas for coloring
- Pick a bright colour for the car so it stands out against a darker truck.
- Colour the tow truck in yellow or orange, the colours often used for service vehicles.
- Give the hook and the bed a metal grey.
- Add a warning light on the cab roof with a dab of amber.
What a flatbed does
A flatbed tow truck tilts its bed back and slides it to the ground. A winch cable then pulls the car up the slope. Once the car is on the bed it is strapped down, so the wheels do not need to touch the road while it is carried to a garage.
