The tooth fairy here has her eyes closed and a gentle smile. She holds a large tooth against her chest with one arm and carries a small drawstring purse in the other hand. Her wings are rounded and her dress has a simple scalloped hem.

The outline is thick and every area is big, so this is one of the easiest fairy pages. It works well for a child who has just lost a tooth and wants something to colour that night.

Ideas for coloring

  • Leave the tooth white or colour it a very pale cream so it stands out.
  • Colour the purse in a favourite colour and add a stripe on the drawstring.
  • Choose soft colours for the wings and a stronger colour for the dress.
  • Add a sleeping child, a pillow or some stars in the empty background.

About baby teeth

Children usually have 20 baby teeth, and they start to fall out around age six. Underneath, adult teeth have been growing for years and push the roots of the baby teeth away until they loosen. By the early teens most people have 28 permanent teeth, and wisdom teeth may come later. The tooth fairy is a custom found in many countries, and the reward varies from place to place.
