Ideas for coloring
- Pineapple skin in gold and brown, with a green crown.
- Mango in orange, yellow and a blush of red.
- Papaya flesh in orange or pink, with black or dark brown seeds in the hollow.
- A leaf in several greens with lighter lines for the veins.
- Fill each diamond on the pineapple with a slightly different shade for a textured look.
Good to know
These fruits grow in warm places near the equator. A pineapple grows from the middle of a plant close to the ground, not on a tree. Mango and papaya do grow on trees. Ask your child to look at the world map and find some places where these fruits grow.
